I have been a railfan since I was a baby. My love for trains runs deep, as do all of yours I am sure. But, if you are new to this amazing hobby, that is great too and welcome aboard! My parents liked to tell me that when I was younger I would make them stop and wait for a train that was maybe a mile or two away because I was too excited to not watch it. Later, when I was 12, I got my first train set for Christmas. A Bachmann TIME Magazine starter set in HO scale. I could not contain myself. I quickly got it out of the box and set it up in a simple oval shape. I watched that little train go around and around for hours never waving. I took a few years off model railroading after that, but picked up back up in my late teens. I jumped right into making a decent size layout and, of course as all beginners do, ran into many mistakes and confusion. I now model N scale in a freelance style.

I wanted to make this blog to help people avoid the mistakes I did (save you some frustration). This blog will be filled with advice, product reviews, and TRAINS! So get on your vests, grab those walkies, and get this train movin'!
